The archeosite proposes workshops adapted for schools. Within the framework of these workshops, students become participants. For two hours, they have the opportunity to discover for themselves the work of prehistoric men and ancient men as well as the techniques used by them. Afterwards, they not only take home their self-made object, but also gain insight into a practical action. Some workshops can be adapted for adult groups.
Each workshop is preceded by a brief historical overview of the activity in question. So it has nothing to do with just a few hours of crafting, but rather an awareness of history through a practical act.
By performing and repeating ancient actions and by touching specific materials, such as clay, vegetable fibers or wool, it becomes possible to approach our ancestors and their techniques and professions, which sometimes remained almost unchanged from the Gallo-Roman period to the XIX century. Archaeology, daily life during Prehistoric or Gallo-Roman times, as well as environmental sciences, can be incorporated into a specific workshop.
